In search of time

It is T-1 week to the beginning of classes. My syllabus are written (I’ll photocopy what needs photocopied tomorrow). I still need to set up websites, but I have a shell in place at least.

I’m really frustrated that summer is over. I’m honestly a bit concerned that it is going to be hard for me to keep writing every day as classes and conferences couple to eat my days. I’m going to try as long as I can, but already I fell off the wagon yesterday  as I let myself get caught up in grant writing, and project planning, and just hanging out on a Satuday with humans (it happens).

Oh well, I’m sure my students are sadder than I am.

But still, can’t I just have one more day in this weekend?

I hereby bequeath you one extra day for the weekend to celebrate whatever takes your fancy. :)

Speaking of time, I hear your speaking in Sacramento at the AANC meeting in about a month’s time. If at all possible, I’ll make it up there, but right now it doesn’t look good. :-(

By the bye, the response to the CD at the Fremont Peak Star-B-Que was fantastic.

Summer’s over? Here in Michigan, we just had the hottest days of the year. I even turned on my air conditioner. Summer it just starting.

Acedemic schedules are as bad as the birds. Spring is the start of breeding season – January, i think. Fall is the start of southerly migrations. August for some species.

    Summer school is the answer.

I’ve been in school all summer and I’m looking forward to the one week break that I get between terms.
