A trip in pictures

I still have much coding to do, so this needs to be short. For now, I leave you with a photo gallery of my adventures in Garching (Where ESO and Max-Planck are located) and near the Rathaus in downtown Germany.

I’ll write more when I get to the UK tomorrow night, and I hope to see you Sunday at Mabel’s Tavern in London.

That food photo is making me more hungry. Nice photos from Europe!

Did you get any pictures from the inside of Max-Planck Institute & ESO?

How could ESO be in the northern hemisphere when it says “Southern Hemisphere”?

  2. Yeah, good German beer, beef & potatoes (of are they dumplings?), what’s not to love?

  3. Matthias says:

Yeah, Schweinshaxe FTW! (Sorry Richard, that’s no beef. It’s a knuckle of pork)

ESO in the Southern Hemisphere – Doesn’t this come from their huge physical presence (ie, observatories) in Chile, on the Atacama desert high plains?

But the ESO organization is still European in origins, funding and administration.
